Celebrating Older Americans Month at Betty Hill Senior Center
May was a special time of celebration, fellowship, and wellness as the Betty Hill Senior Center hosted its annual Older Americans Month Celebration under the theme “Champion Your Health.”
The event brought together seniors from across the community for a day filled with encouragement, recognition, health awareness, and fun. Attendees enjoyed inspiring speakers, community fellowship, and activities focused on promoting healthy living and honoring the contributions of older adults.
A special thank you goes to Director Malinda Griffin, the dedicated staff, volunteers, transit drivers, and community partners who helped make the event a success. Their commitment continues to enrich the lives of our senior citizens and strengthen our community.
Older Americans Month serves as an important reminder to celebrate the wisdom, resilience, and invaluable contributions of older adults. The smiles, laughter, and engagement throughout the day reflected the strong spirit of the seniors who continue to inspire us all.
We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our seniors and look forward to continuing to support healthy aging and community engagement throughout the year.
